"My name is Holly. I am 43 years old and am usually quite healthy except for 2 specific problems. I have been suffering from chronic headaches and migraines for over 20 years. I also suffer from lower back pain when I am fatigued.
I typically get three to five headaches per week and migraines once or twice per month. I have tried cutting out all the classic migraine triggers including red wine, chocolate and cheese. None of these seemed to be the culprit so I resorted to over the counter and prescription medications. I have tried every migraine medicine known to man and most of them have failed. I have recently found a prescription medication that works some of the time on my migraines, but it is very expensive and does not work all the time. I have also been taking up to 1600 mg of Advil everyday for my "regular" headaches for the past few years! All the studies state that this is very bad for your stomach but I did not see any alternative except to withstand the pain! I was hesitant to keep taking medication if it was unnecessary and also worried about the long term affects they may have on my overall health!
When my back flares up, it is quite painful and can be debilitating. I sometimes am unable to get up from a sitting or laying position without help! When my initial back problems started ten years ago, my HMO doctor suggested I take bed rest and muscle relaxers! As an active, working, wife and mother of two, this was not an option for me. I travel a lot and a 12 hour flight on an airplane can be torture with a bad back! I have lived with a delicate back for several years and at 43 years young I decided that I needed to be proactive concerning these physical problems.
I met Dr. Brian Scott through my children's elementary school. I have known Brian for years and admire how he stays so fit (we are the same age!). I have a piece of good news!
In the last 10 months to a year, before I started the chiropractic sessions with you, I had problems with my sleep. I would go to sleep in the evening and wake up after 2-3 hours. Then I would stay awake for 45 minutes to 1 hour before going back to sleep.
That made me cranky during the day and I was always tired and sleepy.
In the last 10 days something very good happened. I started to sleep 7-8 hours without interruption! I haven’t been able to sleep like this for a long time. And by the way, except the chiropractic sessions I started 4 weeks ago with you, nothing changed in my life style or medication.
I am amazed at what kind of effect the realignment you do to my spine has had on me.

I have arthritis in my lower spine. I was given spinal shots for 3 years until they weren’t effective and the side effects were a problem. The medical doctors told me that I would receive surgery when the pain was so bad that I could not function or when I became paralyzed. I had been physically active and refereed soccer. That all stopped, and I could not run 3 steps without severe pain. I had muscle cramps in my legs severe enough that when I awoke in the morning, I felt like I had run 10 miles. I then began experiencing severe pain in my big toes and feet.
In November I saw Dr. Scott and in 3 weeks I had no pain in my toes. Later, the painful, stinging sensations in my feet subsided. My leg cramps have diminished and in January, I even jogged/walked on a treadmill for a mile. This is something that I haven’t been able to do for two years. Each day of my life is so much better.
